Who are we?
R&D company VMPAUTO specialized in production of a vast range of lubricants and additives for engine oil and fuels. Since 1996, the company has gone from a small company to a full-fledged plant with its own scientific and technical departments, a line for the synthesis and production of lubricants and their packaging on own-designed equipment. High production efficiency and flexible terms of cooperation have allowed to work with the largest companies in the CIS and export products to more than 53 countries. Among partners, you can find manufacturers of spare parts and automotive chemicals from Spain, Italy, Germany, Lithuania, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc.

Our history
1996
Company foundation
R&D company VMPAUTO was founded by a group of specialists interested in creating fundamentally new lubricating materials.
1999
First patent for a scientific invention
The patented lubricating composition became the basis for plastic greases first released under the MC brand (metal-conditioning grease): MC1000, CV Joint MC.
2000
Lapping pastes lead the Russian market
A breakthrough self-grinding formula and convenient spot application cut job time to about two minutes. The unique valve-shaped form is protected by copyright.
2002
Remetalizant output reaches 1 million bottles per year
The product for non-invasive engine restoration helped one million motorists extend the life of their vehicles.
2006
MC1000 grease supplied for bearing repair kit assembly
Thanks to its metal-conditioning properties, MC1000 increased component life and partly replaced lithol in repair kits.
2010
VMPAUTO becomes the first Russian company admitted to NLGI
NLGI aims to create educational, service and technology conditions for consumers and manufacturers to grow the market for quality lubricants. Member list.
2011
Launch of automated plastic grease synthesis shop
Reducing the human factor in lubricant production raised product quality and greatly expanded the grease range.
2012
MC1000 grease approved by BelAZ and GAZ plants
After long trials, engineers at several major plants reported three times longer component life, recommended MC1000 for conveyor fill-in, and added it to their plants’ lubrication charts.
2015
Launch of shaped stick-packs — a company know-how
Innovative lubricants became accessible to everyone. VMPAUTO’s in-house engineering — a machine for packing greases into shaped stick-packs — has no equivalent in Russia. A clear advantage in contract manufacturing and retail.
2016
“Exporter of the Year” award
That year VMPAUTO’s export geography grew to 36 countries, including Argentina, the Netherlands, Hungary, Spain, Bulgaria and Moldova. In 2018 VMPAUTO opened its own branch in Mexico.
2017
116 km of tunnels driven with the company’s lubricants
VMPAUTO was the first Russian company to develop materials for tunnel boring machines; in 2018 production was transferred to the subsidiary LLC “smazka.ru”.
Projects include metro drives in Moscow, Kazan, Minsk and Saint Petersburg, and the Sochi tunnel.
2018
Birth of the “VALERA” brand
Innovative product quality and a unique emotional marketing style drove rapid brand growth and launched a whole line of original products. Valera is more than a liquid wrench.
2019
New caliper grease series developed
A new formulation approach brought two specialized products based on PAO and PAG oils — a qualitative leap for the Russian brake grease market.
2020
New plastic grease synthesis plant launched
A unique engineering and R&D facility for Saint Petersburg will first double and then quintuple capacity versus 2019. The plant design uses proprietary dual homogenization technology for lubricants.
2022
New buildings
A wider product range needs more warehouse and production space. Two new buildings are being completed on site for finished goods and raw material storage and new lines. We design much of the equipment in-house — most of the machinery running at the company was built by our experienced production engineers.
2023
Motor oil production begins
In 2023 VMPAUTO motor oil was introduced: viscosities 5W-30, 5W-40, 10W-40, and racing 10W-50. The latter was filled in a race team’s car and ran successfully for four hours of continuous racing.
2026
Motorcycle oil production begins
Developed for four-stroke gasoline motorcycle engines with liquid or air cooling, with wet and dry clutches.

Our production
4 modern laboratories
The laboratories, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, allow us not only to carry out product development and quality control but also to conduct various scientific research in the field of lubricants.
Bench tests
To comply with the approvals of international organizations and automotive manufacturers, both laboratory and bench tests are required. We test engine and transmission oils on our own bench testing units of various types under conditions that are as close to real-life as possible.
We develop oils
Our own in-house production sets us apart from blenders and packagers. We independently produce not only automotive oils but also the components for their formulation.
We synthesize lubricants
Our production facility operates 4 modern workshops equipped with reactors for controlled chemical synthesis, which allows us to create lubricating greases from scratch, controlling every stage of the process.
We are automating our production
Our automation department is a high-tech center for the development and modernization of equipment for production and packaging. We create, improve and maintain production lines using advanced technologies and our own resources.
